Contact Photo is pleased to present Lumpyhead, a solo exhibition by John Taggart. Coinciding with the exhibition, Taggart also released a photobook of the same title, offering audiences a comprehensive exploration of his creative vision.
Lumpyhead offers a glimpse into Taggart's wildly playful and ingeniously uninhibited spirit through his unique storytelling. Drawing from his personal history, experiences in photojournalism, and immersion in pop culture, Taggart weaves a narrative that transcends traditional boundaries.
The sequencing of the book and the installation of the exhibition are both explosion of images, providing viewers with an immersive experience of Taggart's stream of consciousness as a photographer. At the heart of Lumpyhead is Taggart's commitment to making the act of photography as close to seeing as possible.
