About the instructors:

LOOK PUBLISHING is a publishing imprint that specializes in hand-made art and photography books. We work in small, limited edition runs, focusing on non-traditional methods of binding and printing, including risograph printing and more. In the past three years, we have published over 15 titles, and our books can be found in the collections of institutions such as the ICP Library and Printed Matter.

LOOK was founded by Joe Rovegno and Alex Barcenas.

Joseph Rovegno is a New York-based artist with a physical approach to image-making. His process begins in the darkroom and progresses to ripping, sewing, and collaging images together.

Alex Barcenas is a Hawaiian-born, New York-based photographer who exclusively uses medium format color film, with a focus on landscapes and portraits. Her debut book, "Voids: Portraits of Spaces," was published by LOOK in 2021. She holds a BFA from Pratt Institute.
