Emily Pederson is a photographer, filmmaker, and photo editor from Rhode Island. Her work focuses on human rights, the aftermath of violence, and collective memory.
Rooted in community trust, her long-term projects in Mexico document enforced disappearances and the impact of the Drug War on Mexican society.
She is now a photo editor in New York and continues doing documentary work. Her work has been featured by Field of Vision, The New York Times, The Atlantic, and Open Society Foundations, among others.
